AWT

"Acoustic wave therapy (AWT) is a therapy method that uses bundled sound waves to trigger both physical and biological effects in the skin. These stimulations, which are perceived as vibrations, are used to combat cellulite and scars and promote firm, healthy skin. Suitable areas for treatment are the face, arms, stomach, legs and bottom. AWT can be carried out all year round and does not involve any downtime. The treatment is suitable for all skin types."

How it works

AWT Mode of action

Acoustic wave therapy, also known as shock wave therapy, uses bundled sound waves of high energy and frequency to reach deep tissue layers. These high-energy waves trigger a series of physical and biological processes that lead to an improvement in skin structure. They increase the metabolism, improve microcirculation and increase tissue elasticity through the formation of new blood vessels and the activation of stem cells and growth factors. These processes lead to numerous positive effects that need to be exploited!

Treatment options

AWT treatment options

Acoustic wave therapy (AWT) offers a wide range of treatment options. Among these, it can be used to treat the following conditions:

  • Anti-cellulite treatmentAWT is effective in reducing cellulite, especially on the abdomen, legs, buttocks and upper arms.
  • BodyshapingFor shaping the body and reducing fat deposits.
  • Support with weight reductionTissue activation and lymphatic drainage support the body in its natural functions.
  • Treatment of stretch marksAWT promotes skin renewal and improves the appearance of stretch marks.
  • FacialsFor firming the tissue or as part of a smart aging program.
  • Tattoo removalWe also use the properties of lymphatic drainage to remove tattoos more quickly after a laser treatment. As a result, the pigments are removed more quickly through the lymphatic system.
Procedure

AWT Procedure

Preparation for the treatment: Before the treatment, a personal consultation is held with the doctor to discuss the concerns and treatment goals and to receive instructions for optimal preparation. If volume reduction is desired, the patient is advised to follow a calorie-reduced diet.

During the treatment: The duration of the AWT depends on the area to be treated. In a typical 50-minute session, up to three palm-sized areas can be treated. The therapy itself is relatively painless and requires no downtime, allowing patients to resume their daily lives immediately. The first effect can be felt immediately after the treatment!

After the treatment: To support the effect of the treatment, we recommend staying active after the treatment and drinking 2-3 liters of water throughout the day. Muscle development and regular exercise are crucial for improving the appearance of the skin after treatment. In addition, a free analysis with the InBody device is offered to objectively monitor progress and customize further consultations.

Frequently asked questions

AWT Frequently asked questions

Is the treatment painful?

Shock wave therapy is generally well tolerated and painless, with most patients only experiencing a slight tingling or pressure sensation during treatment.

How long does it take until I see results?

The time until the first results become visible varies depending on the individual case and the skin condition to be treated. A noticeable improvement can often be seen after 2-3 treatments, with the skin appearing smoother and firmer and an improved elasticity of the tissue. As a rule, 6 to 10 sessions are sufficient to achieve the desired results.

Are the results permanent, or will I have to undergo further treatments in the future?

The results of shockwave therapy can be long-lasting, especially if the treatment is carried out in conjunction with an appropriate skin care program, exercise and a balanced diet. Regular booster treatments are recommended to maintain the desired results.

Will I need time off work?

Shock wave therapy does not require any downtime from work. Most patients can resume their normal activities immediately after treatment. However, temporary redness or slight swelling may occur immediately after treatment, which usually subsides within a few hours.
