Laser treatments for Asian skin need special knowledge and equipment
Many Asians still look very young even in middle age. This is due to the higher collagen content, which Wrinkling prevents. However, Asian skin is often more sensitive to climate change than other skin types due to a thinner epidermis. It is particularly at risk of developing so-called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
Asian skin is considered to be particularly beautiful. It can be very light to very dark, but what they have in common is the different composition of the skin structure with a higher collagen content compared to other ethnic skin types, which protects against premature wrinkling. Therefore, many Asians still look very young even at 50.
Nevertheless, Asian skin needs special care. On the one hand, it is sensitive to dehydration due to climate changes. This is particularly often experienced by women from Japan, China, Korea or Thailand who live in Switzerland or even just visit and are suddenly afflicted with rashes.
Another special feature of Asian skin is the tendency to Pigment spotswhich can often occur on the skin after inflammation or burns (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)).
