Unsightly scars
Scars are not a reason for despair - even the deepest acne scars or thick scar growths after surgery can be improved. In our practice, various methods are available for this purpose: From fractional laser to radiofrequency or microneedling radiofrequency, there is a suitable treatment for every type of scar.
A scar can develop quickly. Depending on predisposition and care, it can become inconspicuous or grow ugly in the course of time.
To prevent this from happening in the first place, the latest study results recommend, Scars early on with a fractionated laser in order to positively influence the healing process. This makes sense especially for scars where a rather unfavorable healing process is to be expected. The treatment can be carried out early, i.e. directly on the day the thread is pulled, or later in the course.
So it is not too late, even for older scars. In most cases, improvement is possible. However, not all scars are the same - different procedures must be used depending on the type of scar and skin type. You can choose between fractional procedures with an ablative laser, with Radio frequency or Microneedling. All these methods are available in our practice.
Before treatment, the scar is examined in detail and documented photographically in order to determine the optimal type of treatment and to be able to check the success of the treatment over time.
Light-colored, flat scars, such as those that occur after surgery, are usually treated with a fractional laser. The CO2, Erbium:YAG and Thulium lasers are available in our practice for this purpose. With this method, the laser shoots microscopically small holes through the uppermost layer of skin, allowing the laser beams to penetrate the dermis.
This activates the body's own wound healing process and healthy new collagen is formed as a result, meaning that the skin is completely renewed.
It is important that the area is consistently protected from the sun after treatment in order to Hyperpigmentation to be avoided. The treatment can be carried out several times until the desired result is achieved. We recommend 3-6 appointments at intervals of one month.
For deep Acne scars another method is preferred in most cases: RF microneedling for acne scars.
The finest, gold-plated needles are inserted through the skin, at the tip of which small tissue defects are created at different depths of the skin with the help of radio frequency, which in turn lead to the production of new collagen. This effectively stimulates the skin to be restructured in three levels. The treatment is well tolerated thanks to a very effective local anaesthetic cream. RF microneedling can also be carried out in summer and on dark skin types.
