Vaginal rejuvenation
Aesthetic treatments in and around the genital area have long been a taboo subject, although any problems and dissatisfactions can be just as stressful or possibly even more stressful than other blemishes, especially in psychological terms. New types of lasers offer the possibility of treating diverse indications with the same device.
General
Vaginal discomfort often occur after the birth of a child or during the menopause. Falling oestrogen levels with increasing age can lead to the vaginal mucosa and genital tissue becoming thinner and more sensitive. The vagina loses its protective layer due to reduced moisture. Itching, burning, pain and an impaired sex life are the consequences.
The new non-invasive, non-surgical laser treatment for rejuvenation of the vaginal mucosa can be called the anti-aging treatment in the intimate area due to its versatile applicability. It helps affected women to feel more comfortable in their own body again. This laser therapy can be used for the following indications:
Vaginal relaxation syndrome, vaginal atrophy, vaginal infections
The targeted thermal heating of the vaginal tissue stimulates the growth and regeneration of collagen fibers and fine blood vessels. This regenerates the mucous membrane and tightens the vaginal walls. In addition, a healthy mucous membrane protects against diseases such as vaginal fungus or urinary tract infections, which can occur more frequently due to vaginal atrophy. If desired, the labia minora and labia majora can then be treated with a fractional laser treated.
Mild stress incontinence
During physical activities that increase pressure in the abdomen, such as coughing, sneezing, jumping and lifting, small amounts of urine leak out. This can greatly affect the quality of life. In stress incontinence, the metabolism of the connective tissue is altered and the supportive hold of the urethra is too weak, which often occurs after spontaneous abortions. The Vaginal laser enables fast and painless treatments, without anesthesia and without downtime.
External pigment changes
Friction from underwear or hormonal changes can lead to aesthetically disturbing Hyperpigmentation in the genital area. These can be treated in the same laser session if desired.
The laser should be preceded by an examination by a gynecologist and a PAP smear. The treatment itself is short and largely painless, and is performed on an outpatient basis. A rod-shaped laser is inserted into the vagina. Immediately after the treatment, you can return to your normal activities. Sexual intercourse should be avoided for 2-3 days. In a preceding personal consultation, we will discuss the specific complaints in detail, since a treatment in the intimate area is a matter of trust.
For optimal results, 1 - 4 treatments should be performed at least 4 weeks apart.
