An enlarged chest in a man looks extremely unmanly and can significantly affect self-confidence. In most cases, the cause is simply obesity, which causes fat to be deposited in the breast tissue. This male, fat-related bust is called pseudogynecomastia. Here you can do something about it.
Beer belly and bust appear together in most men. One cause may be the beer. On the one hand, it has many calories (half a liter 175 calories), and on the other hand, it contains hops, which provide plant estrogens. These hormones, similar to female hormones, can promote breast growth.
A male body also produces this sex hormone, but only in small quantities. This is especially the case during periods of transition such as puberty. Here, many young men develop a slight bust, but this disappears again over time.
The same happens during the male menopause, which begins around the age of 50. Here, however, a real enlargement of the mammary gland tissue can also occur.
Some cosmetics or even the partner's hormone-containing vaginal cream can also have an influence. Sometimes there is also a disease behind it, so breast enlargement occurs with liver diseases such as cirrhosis, but also with thyroid disease and renal insufficiency.
Breast cancer is also not excluded in men. Mostly men do not think about it and go to the doctor very late.
