Fat deposits

"Fat deposits are fat cells that often accumulate in the subcutis (lower skin) of the pelvic area. They often manifest themselves especially on the female hip as so-called "love trades" or on the abdomen and are considered to be very stubborn. Fat deposits can develop as a result of a sedentary and high-calorie lifestyle or have as their cause a genetic disposition."

Symptoms

Fat deposits symptoms

Fat deposits manifest themselves as tightening elevations under the skin. They often accumulate on the abdomen and hips, where the familiar "love handles" or "dad bods" can develop. Legs, arms and the buttocks are also known places for the formation of the deposits. If there is a large increase in fat deposits in a short period of time, the skin can become "overstretched" and the formation of Stretch marks.

Causes

Fat deposits causes

The formation of fat depots is nothing more than the accumulation of lipids in the subcutis. During fat storage, fatty acids are taken up from the blood by adipocytes and synthesized with glycerol to form lipids. The lipids can be stored in the cells, where they act as energy reserves and can be released back into the bloodstream in the components during appropriate physical activity.

With low physical activity or a high-calorie diet, the lipids accumulate in the body cells, which thus grow and take up an increasing proportion of the total body weight. At normal weight, depot fat accounts for approximately 15-25% of body weight. Furthermore, hormonal disorders or genetic dispositions can support and accelerate the formation of fat depots.

Treatment

Fat deposits treatment

Basically, it is important to know that these methods are only suitable for the treatment of localized fat deposits (problem areas) and are not slimming methods. If you need weight loss, we recommend an appointment with our nutritionist.

Bodyforming

Bodyforming treatments are aimed at reducing fat deposits and thus improving the silhouette.

  • SculpSure is an alternative to classic liposuction. The laser destroys superfluous fat cells under the skin. Since the applied heat has a skin tightening effect at the same time, we recommend this method especially for upper arms and inner thighs.
  • AWT works with focused sound waves and is used as an anti-cellulite treatment on legs, buttocks and upper arms, for body shaping in the case of unfavorable fat deposits, to support weight reduction through both tissue activation and lymphatic drainage, and for stretch marks. It also has a special value in the post-treatment of purely fat-destroying methods such as SculpSure.

Analysis and consulting

  • Diet plays a decisive role in the build-up and breakdown of fat deposits. In our practice, we take a holistic approach to nutritional-psychological advice on how you can successfully adapt your diet in the long term. Your goals are determined by means of a detailed medical history, an InBody measurement to analyze your body composition, a blood analysis if required and optional photo documentation. In the follow-up consultations, goals are reviewed, renewed and various training sessions are carried out.
