Dr. Mareike Prinz, specialist in dermatology and venereology, completed her training in Zurich, Kiel, Vienna and Chicago and has been working as a dermatologist for more than 10 years. Fascinated by the skin and especially the hair, Hair loss Dr. Prinz has been working at the House of Skin & Laser Medicine for over two years.
After her medical studies at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel (D) and the Medical University of Vienna (A), Dr. Prinz came to Zurich to complete her residency in dermatology and venereology at the University Hospital Zurich. During this time, she assisted in many of Prof. Kündig's allergology studies. This was followed by a research stay in Chicago at Northwestern University (USA). During this stay, Dr. Prinz researched the field of skin lymphomas. Since 2009, she has been in private practice and working in various practices, first in Oerlikon (practice "Haut und Licht", Center for Light Therapies) and since May 2017 in the practice of Dr. Rümmelein AG in Zurich-Enge. In recent years, she was able to deepen her training in the field of aesthetic medicine with Dr. Rümmelein and she obtained the certificate of competence for laser treatments of the skin. In addition to general dermatology, Dr. Prinz is particularly interested in hair and scalp diseases. She was able to further deepen this field of interest by training with Prof. Trüeb at the University Hospital of Zurich.
Dr. Prinz is the author of numerous scientific articles and reference books, e.g. "80 Fälle Dermatologie" (a textbook for exam preparation). In addition, she is co-author of the textbook "Intensivkurs Dermatology (Allergic and irritative or toxically triggered diseases)", as well as the books "Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis" and "Physical Therapy Measures in Dermatology".
