What helps with sagging skin?

The first signs of skin aging usually appear from the age of 25. Causes include natural, internal factors (intrinsic aging), as well as external factors such as environmental influences like UV radiation and polluted air, and lifestyle influences like cigarette and alcohol consumption or stress. All these factors can cause the skin to lose elasticity, become saggy and show the first signs of wrinkles.

The elasticity of the skin is maintained by the elastin and collagen, which is located in the deeper layer of the skin, in the dermis. Serums and creams alone are not enough to protect the skin from faster aging. That is why a sunscreen is recommended at all times of the year. This protects the skin from collagen damage caused by light rays.

With increasing age, one treatment is often not enough. This is why various treatments are offered. The aim of treating sagging skin is to stimulate the production of new, endogenous collagen and to strengthen the existing collagen. The treatment methods for sagging skin on the upper arms, knees, thighs and stomach are AWT, focused ultrasound or Microneedling Radiofrequency. A new anti-aging treatment that has an immediate, regenerative dual effect against sagging, dehydrated and tired skin is Profhilo, part of our Skinbooster treatments. The pure and highly concentrated hyaluronic acid contained in the product differs from the Hyaluronic acid in other dermal fillers due to its unique composition. It can remain in the tissue up to 30 times longer and also promotes the body's own natural production of hyaluronic acid. Due to this composition, Profhilo can also be used for the treatment of various areas of the body.

The treatment procedure is short, gentle and painless. The first step is superficial anesthesia. Then the product is injected into the treatment area using a fine needle with the so-called BAP technique (Bio aesthetic points). We recommend that the first two treatments be performed at least 4 weeks apart, although positive results can often be achieved after the first treatment. To achieve optimal results, a booster treatment can be performed twice a year.

Skin sagging

When the cheeks start to sag, it bothers many people. The older we get, the more the downward-tending vectors pull and we develop sagging cheeks. What can you do about this effect of gravity?

Our two favorite techniques are the Ultraformer (focused ultrasound) and INFINI (microneedling radiofrequency). Both procedures, which can be used all year round and on all skin types, create micro-injuries in the skin that stimulate wound healing and thus the formation of new collagen. This tightens and firms the skin.

In addition or as an alternative, a certain amount of skin tightening can also be achieved by injecting fillers at specific lifting points. Here, it is important to avoid creating a "puffy face" via too much volume.

Injection of a filler.

Another procedure is thread lifting, which we also offer in both practices, and which uses threads with fine barbs to pull up the skin of the cheeks.

In the vast majority of cases, we use combination procedures, which are discussed with the patient in each individual case. Every face is different and therefore the situation is first analyzed with the help of standardized photographs. Let us advise you and inform you treating physician about all treatments and materials used in the past. This way we will create a safe therapy concept for you.
