How it works

Hyaluronic acid mode of action

Hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally produced by our bodies, plays a critical role in maintaining skin hydration and volume. As we age, our natural hyaluronic acid production decreases, resulting in skin that appears drier, thinner and less firm.

Hyaluronic acid treatments replenish this natural supply and restore hydration and volume to the skin. We offer two treatment options with hyaluronic acid: Filler and Skinbooster injections.

HA fillers act like a sponge, absorbing water and expanding to fill wrinkles and furrows or add volume. The hyaluronic acid in the filler also binds water, which helps to maintain the volume and longevity of the treatment results.

HA fillers work mainly under the skin to restore lost volume and smooth deep lines and wrinkles. They are ideal for the targeted treatment of specific areas and for sculpting and contouring the face.

In contrast, target Skinbooster are designed to improve overall skin quality by increasing skin hydration and smoothing the skin's surface. They are typically administered in a series of microinjections into the upper layer of the skin to hydrate and brighten the skin from the inside out.

While HA fillers address more specific aesthetic concerns such as deep lines, wrinkles and lost volume, skin boosters are ideal for improving overall skin texture, elasticity and complexion. Both can be used together to achieve a comprehensive, rejuvenating skin appearance.

Treatment options

Hyaluronic acid treatment options

Hyaluronic acid injections offer a variety of treatment options to suit different aesthetic needs and goals:

  • Facial rejuvenation: HA fillers can be used to smooth facial wrinkles and lines to improve skin texture and give a youthful glow.
  • Volume recovery: You can fill in lost volume in areas like the cheeks, creating a more youthful contour and reducing the appearance of sagging.
  • Lip enhancement: If you want fuller, more defined lips, HA fillers can provide a subtle volume boost while maintaining a natural look.
  • Static folds: These fillers can also soften the appearance of deep wrinkles that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth and down from the corners of the mouth.
Procedure

Hyaluronic acid procedure

The HA filler procedure at our clinic is a relatively quick and straightforward process:

  • Consulting: We begin with a detailed consultation to understand your aesthetic desires and explain the procedure, possible results and any risks.
  • Preparation: Before treatment, the area to be treated is cleaned and a topical anesthetic may be applied to ensure your comfort.
  • Injection: Using a fine needle or cannula, the HA filler is injected into the pre-determined areas. The procedure usually takes between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the areas to be treated.
  • Aftercare: Minimal swelling or redness may occur after treatment, which usually subsides within a few days. We will give you specific aftercare instructions to support your recovery.

Our goal is to enhance your natural beauty and promote a fresh, revitalized appearance. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we ensure a gentle, careful and professional approach to all of our procedures.
