How it works

Vascular laser mode of action

In our clinic we have three special laser systems for the treatment of vascular diseases, each using different wavelengths:

  • Clarity: This device combines a 755 nm Alexandrite laser and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser and operates in the infrared wavelength range. The use of these wavelengths allows selective thermal destruction of vascular malformations in the skin. The dilated or unwanted blood vessels are heated by the laser in such a way that they structurally disintegrate and are eventually broken down by the body.
  • QuadroStar: The QuadroStar uses a wavelength of 577 nm, which is the absorption maximum of hemoglobin (red blood pigment). Compared to other vascular lasers, this one has lower melanin absorption, making it safer for darker skin types.
  • IPL (Intense Pulsed Light): Unlike lasers, which work with only one specific wavelength, IPL covers a wide range of wavelengths. The light with wavelengths 500-1200 nm acts on various skin damage caused by light aging and can help make superficial wrinkles less visible with repeated use.
Treatment options

Vascular laser treatment options

Our vascular laser treatments are versatile and can treat a variety of conditions, including:

In addition, IPL technology is also effective for:

  • Signs of ageing such as Wrinklessagging skin, large pores and wrinkles
  • Pigment-Irregularities
Procedure

Vessel laser drain

The vascular laser treatment procedure begins with a thorough consultation to determine the most appropriate method for your individual needs. The treatment itself usually takes between 15-30 minutes. If needed, we can administer pain drops prior to treatment, but most patients find the treatment well tolerable. Throughout the treatment, the skin is constantly and intensely cooled to minimize the heat generated by the laser.

There should be no pain after the treatment. In some cases, we recommend wearing class II compression stockings, especially after treatments for spider veins. It is recommended to avoid direct sun exposure for about 6 weeks after the treatment. Our treatments are suitable for all skin types.
